We offer Beginner, Intermediate, and advanced western lessons in a group setting of the same age and skill level. We do not offer same day scheduling. Most new lessons are scheduled a week in advanced. All lessons are 1-Hour Long including 30 minutes of Ride time in the arena/trail. We do offer Pee-wee lessons for 3-6 yr olds. If we see fit for a Pee-wee student we will move them into regular riding lessons.
Make Up Policy:
- There will be no makeup tokens due to same day cancelations and or NO SHOWS. Absences will only be excused if a 24-Hour Request is sent in prior to the lesson.
- All Students will receive 1 make up token for an excused riding lesson.
- Under the circumstances of canceling a makeup lesson, a makeup token will not replace the token already used; unless it is due to MKO canceling the class.
- Bad Weather will result in an excused makeup. If you do not here from us via email that means the lesson is still taking place. Bad weather may implicit last-minute cancelations.
- Use of makeups: All makeups can be used on our makeup reoccurring days/times of classes with availability within the same age/skill level. Please confirm availability by emailing performancehorses@gmail.com or request through the app. Please make sure the makeup lesson is approved before arriving to that makeup lesson.
- All excused makeup tokens will be posted in your iclasspro acoount, if you see that there might be a mistake please email performancehorses@gmail.com

- We are closed on the following dates; New Years Eve, Easter, Forth of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas.
- Makeup Tokens expire 1 year to date, student must have an active enrollment to use any makeup tokens.
Payment Policy:
- NO Refunds. Our horseback riding program is a monthly commitment.
- Cash, Check, or Zelle only. We have a box in the MKO office for cash or checks, will only be available during the MKO lesson schedule. Please make sure students name is on the envelope and or zelle payment notes. Zelle: (949)750-4700 or mko.performancehorses@gmail.com
- Statements will be sent out on the 25th of each month, due on the 1st.
- Trial Lessons are $95/Hour/Student. All trial lessons have to paid for prior to the start of the lesson.
- We bill our lessons by the number of classes within that month. Lessons are $80/Hour/Student. Example: If your child rides at 5:00PM on a Tuesday, and there are 4 Tuesdays that month: 4x$80=$320
- Late Payment: All invoices not paid by the 10th of the month will result in a 15% late fee and lessons will be on hold till payment is received. Reminders will be sent out on the 5th.
- Own Horse Discount: 25% off lessons
- Dropping a class, please either request to drop a class or email performancehorses@gmail.com before the 25th of the current month.
Barn Rules:
- Parking is only permitted in the front parking lot or off Serrano Rd. Under no circumstances is driving to the stalls permitted. Behind stables with access through the back gate. If you are interested in coming in from the back gate, please email performancehorses@gmail.com for the gate code.
- NO Smoking on premises.
- 5MPH Speed limit.
- All Students and acquaintances; we ask for you to respect barn etiquette, that includes, staying quiet, not touching or feeding any horses, walking only, and keeping distance from horses outside MKO Performance horses.
- All Riders Under 18yrs old, are required to wear a helmet while riding a horse. We always recommend adults to wear a helmet as well.
- Barn rules have a one-time forgiveness policy.
Dress Code:
- All students and acquaintances must be in barn appropriate attire.
- Closed toed shoes and Pants/Jeans.
- NO shorts, NO Dresses, NO Sandals, NO Excessively flowy Shirts, NO crop tops.
- Highly recommend Sports Bras for women.
- If a rider shows up in non-equestrian attire their lesson will be considered a Cancelation and no makeup will be allowed. Under no circumstance will we allow a lesson to occur if Rider is not in appropriate riding attire
- We do require all riders; by the second month; to have proper western boots, and a properly fitted equestrian helmet. You can find boots at Boot Barn and Helmets at Dover Saddlery.
Lateness Policy
- We recommend Every Lesson to come 5-10 Minutes early. Every minute in your lesson is critical to each individual student and the students who are riding in the same lesson.
- We will consider it a NO SHOW if not at the lesson 10 Minutes after the lesson starts. No makeup will be allowed due to being late.
Camps/Day Camps/Day Trip Activities
- All are on a first come first serve basis. Once they are full, you may be added on the waitlist. Spots fill fast so do not wait.
- All Deposits are non-refundable for holding your spot.
